Itinerary description
Start location for today’s grade 3, 16km loop hike was Jindera Gap. At the corner of Urana and Jelbart Rds. There’s a makeshift car park just below the intersection, enter off Jelbarts Rd.
The Bakes Track runs parallel with Urana Rd for a few metres then becomes its own foot trail. There’s some signage to guide.
Steady uphill walking for most of the day, so up & down often but a good steady hike with plenty of stopping opportunities on level ground.
Views today were not possible due to low cloud but on clear days the views across Albury township to The Razorback are awesome!
Ridge Track provided some interesting terrain with many side tracks to explore.
Some stiles to navigate over fencing but nothing too challenging.
Take plenty of water, food and layer clothing.
No public toilets so take appropriate gear for nature breaks, remembering to leave only footprints.
Dog friendly walk. Two pooches enjoyed the day out on leads with our small group from Take A Hike - NE Victoria (Facebook)
