Jezersko - Makekov Marof - Ceska koca - Vratca - Stularjeva planina - Plansarsko Jezero 2022-07-31 8:35
After a two-year wait, due to the restrictions of the COVID-19, this summer we went to see a little Slovenia. As on other occasions, with the help of Ramon de Giroguies , who has found us an alternative adjusted to the objectives. You will see that they are a set of several self-guided routes, which have the particularity of being easy and of a distance of less than 20 km. In some cases you can make small extensions to complete the route. They have also provided us with travel, accommodation and breakfast, lunch en route and dinner is no challenge for where we have stayed. During these seven days we will have covered about 125 km. +4,475 m. -5,870 m.
On the second day we left directly from Jezersko, we climbed first by road, then we combined tracks and paths, with a particularly beautiful landscape, with the Savinjke Alps in sight. Some part of the road with a steep slope. Arriving at the pass, we go much flatter until we find the trail that leads to the refuge, one of the oldest in Slovenia. The climb is perfectly equipped with wooden ladders and cables take away fear.
The refuge enjoys all the comforts, because it has a cable that goes down to the parking lot and they can easily bring up all kinds of material. There is also a via ferrata that goes up to the top. We rested there, drank a ½ l cold drink. And they could see that the weather was very good, I decided to continue uphill along a scree and do the summit of Vratca (1,800 m). After passing the scree, you need the help of different cables and a ladder to overcome the grade and reach the pass, from this point the summit is much easier. The view impresses.
Then straight to the refuge, and we went along the same path until a fork on the right. We reach an abandoned cabin and follow the track that leads directly to the lake, and towards Jezersko.
A magnificent route, with many people walking, especially with children, from the car park to the refuge (it must be said that it was Sunday). This shelter is certainly a classic. We were able to see chamois and a foot of Atropa Belladonna.
