Are ropes needed for any sections? Is there any water en route? I'd like to try it as an over night hike.
No ropes, but the decent was messy and explorational. It was a moderate scramble, steep and loose. There was a significant lack of water as it's a ridge line, might occasionally be water in the wadi towards the end at the right time, but i've never seen any.
Drop waypoints 39 and 40 potentially and try to go straight from 38 to 41 curving slightly south of a straight line to work around a big fault/break. There may be a work around for the drops at waypoint 40 though on the south west side. Saw it from a far, but can't tell. Still requires more exploration. There is definitely a better route in this decent section to unravel.
Overnight would be good. There are loads of camp spots, as per the route name in particular,
Thanks for the info!
