Itinerary description

Starting point :Jebel Jais children park and Deck.

Trail : Jebel Jais upper segment trail (Ghaf Summit) + Extension to true summit via HL 55 Trail

Total distance: 16.5 Km (Both way)

Total elevation Gain :870m

We started our hike from Jebel Jais Children park and deck and followed the upper segment trail ( clear marked trail) till Ghaf North/South summit, further we went up and joined the road, walked till observation deck. From there we took Newly laid Highlander 55 (HL 55) trail and followed the same till true Summit @1914m. It is considered to be the highest point in UAE.

One can further follow HL 55 trail till Woh village then it joins with Stair way to Heaven right bank route. (We turned back at true summit)

Return is via same route all the way back to starting point.

Safe trail for beginners to test their endurance. I rated it moderate for long distance.

Hiking shoe recommended. Carry sufficient water, min 4 Litres.
