Itinerary description
This trail is newly laid on Jebel Hamri plateau in Fujairah.
From the summit point of Survey post, you can see both Arabian sea and the Arabian Gulf.
I had come across part of this trail during my exploration hike conducted during my W2W project in late 2021. I was wondering then on the details of this trail as I could not find any trail recorded.
This time I decided to try it out with my wife, and we hiked it as an evening walk.

This mountain lies between RAK-Dibba road (near Ghub) and Ain al Sheriya area.
To reach this mountain, you will need a 4X4 vehicle as the road upwards is graded and steep. You will need 4X4 with low gear to drive down safely.
The access offroad from Dibba road till the Hamri mountain top has been recorded separately as offroading trail on wikiloc.
You may refer it for better understanding.

You can club this hike with previous night camping on the mountain top as it will be generally cooler in winters.
For those interested, there is Enduro cycling trail from the top of the mountain till down below.
I have separately hiked the DH Enduro MTB trail up and down and recorded as below.

We saw many hiking trails crisscrossing on the mountain plateau without any marking, I am sure there will be proper marking soon for clarity.
We took the longest trail that was visible.
This hiking trail is well laid and well marked. You simply cant get lost as they have placed vertical large stones as pillars and the trail is well visible.
The trail leads through plateau, wadi and some scenic canyons views of Ain Alsheriya mountains, Ghub mountains and Dahir area.
The communication tower that is installed on the mountain is visible most of the time, and the trail goes around it with nice views.
You will also see a Survey pole installed by the Survey department.
Generally its a nice trail with average elevation gain, visibility, views and offroading as a bonus.
