Ascent to the highest peak in Egypt, in Sinai near Mount Moses and the Monastery of Santa Catalina. It is necessary to hire a Bedouin guide for the journey, and we went up and down the same path despite our insistence on making a circular, since the path through the other valley is supposed to be closed by the police. You are not supposed to climb this mountain either but if you insist on the Bedouin it can be done. Bedouin who by the way runs more than Kilian Jornet, what a way of walking, impossible to catch up with.
The views from the top are beautiful, the amount of mountains around is impressive.
Simple climb by path (he did it in running shoes since he did not have others) but you are quickly gaining height zigzagging. The biggest problem, the speed of the Bedouin. Granite mount formations are beautiful.
Highly recommended if you are in the Sinai peninsula, we did it from Sharm El Sheikh, it takes 3 hours and you have to rent a taxi/private car. We contacted the Bedouin through another Bedouin from the white desert
