Itinerary description
Very nice hike with at the time rather good mountain paths and beautiful views first over the Janela valley, then from the 1500m high village at the pic down the SE part of the Island, and finally over Paul valley.
Departure near Janela.
Arrival at the hotel Aldea Panoramica in Cabo da Ribeira.
Note: easy collective transportation from Cabo de Ribera down to Pombas (Paul City) and then for ex. to Janela.

Difficult
We did few opposite direction, from Aldeia Manga up to Cabo da Ribeira and then climbing up to pico da Cruz. Then we did the descent until Janela. It was raining a lot and the sky was all foggy, energise we could not enjoy the view from Pico da Cruz to Janela. Additionally, it was quite slippery, we were very focused just looking at the path. Nevertheless, great trail, specially the first part up to cova da ribeira. Amazing views! The path from cabo da ribeira to pico da Cruz was hard.
