Itinerary description
"It's like Scotland"....
I said to others. I had been watching Scottish photographers that week, who were giving tips on photography on cloudy days and what to photograph when there was nothing much to photograph and we just ended up on this trail which looked just like Scotland.
Passing through little villages on the hills with the most hospitable people.
What made it look like Scotland?
The areas were plotted with small stone walls to mark the territory of a person or perhaps keep the goats and sheep outside. Near the villages they grew wood in the plots and away from it, they grew grass which the women were cutting to save for the winter season.
The trek starts are the Jabri Village. We spoke with people and they let us park our jeep there. From village we took a beautiful path with overgrown grass and time to time a distant view of Murree hills, Nathia Gali and Haro River.
Following is the route from Islamabad to the parking point in Jabri village.

Mid of the trek was the village "Lassan", where women were cutting grass and offered us food and tea but we decided to move further.
After enjoying several spectacular ridges we reached Danna Noral, a village located on the top of the hill. We were a few meters away from the top and two dogs started chasing one of us. It was funny, not dangerous. Some of our group members decided not to hike to the top of Danna Noral and stayed in the village below. They were treated with a festive lunch of Pulao, Mutton and Desi Ghee by a family.
Our plan was to traverse to "Massah Gojri", but it was late in the day and that would have made the hike even longer. On our way back the people again offered the dinner but we excused and made it back to the parking around sunset.
Additionally it's the same hill that you see when you go to Noori water fall. When I went there, I thought if I would ever get to see that. And after couple of weeks, I did.
It truly was spectacular place.
