Itinerary description
We started in the town of Siusi after having an amazing cappuccino and a mortadella sandwich.
The town is surrounded by the magnificent Italian Alpes and the region is better known as Alpe Di Siusi.
From there we took the road uphill. It was raining but the scenery is simply awesome and nothing would had stopped us from continuing the hike.
After 2.5 km we reached Castelrotto town with its beautiful houses and church.
At 3.5 km from the starting point we left the town and were walking on dirt roads.
Green fields, plenty of flowers and wooden huts are all over the place.
At 4.6 km we left the dirt road and took the trail in the middle of the fields at our right. We passed by couple of houses and farms till we arrived to the Church of San Valentino. The place is adorable and you have an amazing view over Siusi town.
The trail takes you downhill back towards the town where we reached the car and closed the loop.
Great and easy hike in the middle of the Dolomites UNESCO World Natural Heritage.
Enjoy !!!
