Beutiful very lonely track I did solo in 5 walking days. Actually 6 days, but one day I didn't walk but spend it by drying after heavy rain ;)

Hi all - I'm the Trails manager for the Arctic Circle Region of Greenland, which includes the Kangerlussuaq, Sisimiut, and Maniitsoq areas.
We ask that hikers do NOT go into the Isunngua area for the following reasons:
1. it is a very important hunting area for the local population (ie for your own safety and to ensure that the wildlife routes remain undisturbed)
2. to protect the RAMSAR area contained within it
There are plenty of other hikes around Kangerlussuaq (see ) and the long, remote Arctic Circle Trail (see ), so lots of opportunities to get away from it all.
@miramikes - I wanted to sent you a DM asking if you wouldn't mind removing this trail from Wikiloc (it is the only place it appears online), so that we can protect the area. However, I couldn't find a way to do that directly. Hence this comment.
