Trail photos
Hiking route in the heart of the Burren National Park, characterized by its karst landscape.
Nearby there are also some archaeological sites (essentially megalithic monuments).
In the Park we will find low elevations, with rounded shapes and some curious folds.
We park the car next to the road, very close to a small lake that seems to collect the drainage from the limestone subsoil, and we walk a few meters until we find the start of the trail.
It is quite easy to follow any of the routes, marked with different colors.
We choose to follow the blue markings that lead us to the top, walking northeast. For the return we continue along the blue path that descends along the northern slope of the mountain and then surrounds it to the west until it merges again with the ascent path, thus allowing us to complete a partially circular route.
