Northern Ireland / Morne Mountains
Taking advantage of the fact that we are heading towards the Morne Mountains to ascend the Slieve Donard, we make a stop on the coast for a relaxed walk.
The tide is low, so we walk along the beach from the parking lot of Cranfield Bay Holiday Park towards the tiny town of Greencastle, where there is also a castle.
We reach an area where there seems to be a commercial oyster farm.
There we leave the coast and return by a quiet local road to the starting point.
The route is good for a walk but it does not have a special attraction either. I would highlight the lighthouse on the sea in front of the beach (Haulbowline Lighthouse) and the Greencastle Castle that we will see next to the road (we passed by the building but we did not visit it).
