Itinerary description
Trail is nothing spectacular. Under the woods most of it. Easy for any age.
Ushguli has many towers and great views to the mountains: Shkhara 5.203m (the highest point in the country of Georgia and the third-highest peak in the Caucasus) and Tetnuldi 4.858m.
Desde Iprari bajada por pista unos kilómetros hasta la carretera que va a Ushguli para dejarla y continuar por un sendero que sube por la ladera izquierda del río. En poco tiempo estás andando por la parte alta de la garganta que forma el río Enguri hasta que finalmente llegas a Ushguli (2.200 m).
Ushguli: Declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, se encuentra a los pies de la montaña más alta de Georgia, el Mt. Shjara (5.201m) y es conocido por la gran cantidad de torres defensivas, por su perfecta ubicación y por ser el pueblo habitado más alto de Europa.
