Itinerary description
Insenborn: Lac de la Haute-Sûre and Burfelt belvédère.
Start your walk at the parking in Insenborn:
12 Am Bommlerwee
9660 Insenborn
Luxemburg
49,90138° N, 5,88446° O
There are a few (+/-10) free places to park just before the big parking (3€/h)
Beautifull walk in Parc Naturel de Haute-Sûre!
Sign: orange circle with two half circles (blue and green).
Leaving the parking you walk towards the church in Insenborn. You’ll pass an information board with signs.
Walk in the direction of Burfelt belvédère.
After passing by the church keep climbing out of town. Just follow the signage (orange circle and two half circles).
After awhile the tarmac ends and you enter the forest. A nice stroll through the forest will lead you to the magnificent viewing point: Burfelt belvédère!
The construction and view is splendid!
After enjoying the panoramic spot you continue your walk in the direction of Waldentdeckungszentrum. Keep following the signs!
On your way to this educational centre you’ll pass lots of wooden info points about fauna and flora in the forest
At the Burfelt Natursschutzzentrum you’ll find an exposition and info about the forest. Open monday-friday 8h-17h, in summer also in the weekend. It was also open when we were there (sunday end september) There is also a toilet here.
Just after the centre you’ll find a picnicarea with views over the lake.
Continue your walk in the direction of Insenborn with the lake on your lefthandside. After awhile you come to a parking with toilets. Just after the toilets you notice a small path at your right. Take it!
Continue following the signs until you arrive at a waterplant and parking in Insenborn. Walk across the parking and arrive back at your car.

EN: Departure and arrival: Parking in the centre of the village in the direction of the church, Insenborn (11 An d. Gaass, 9660 Esch-Sauer). The Éislek Pad are marked and can be walked in both directions.
The water that always accompanies you on this tour will catch your eye - from the Insenborn beach and especially from the Belvédère Burfelt viewing platform. Curiosity and questions are welcome at the forest discovery centre. During your picnic on the shore of the lake, the carved wooden figures will keep you company.
