Itinerary description
Ingleborough & Simon Fell loop from Selside — Yorkshire Dales National Park
This is a lovely 15-kilometre outing from Selside to Simon Fell and onto Ingleborough top. A stunning route with great all-around views. Being a popular peak, there is no problem with the footpaths being well marked and maintained. There are great views all the way round, but from Park Fell and Simon Fell onwards they are superb. The former is a trig pointed top, and the latter is marked by a small pile of stones. Ingleborough itself has a cairn, trig point, and large stone seating area.
Parking: Parking is a rough track with parking at the side of the track. There is enough room for 5-6 vehicles.
Route Description: Very well-signposted and well-maintained paths all the way round. Great views from Park Fell onwards. The whole route is simply great!
Route Statistics: A 15.2 kilometre hike with 560 metres of height gain done in 4 hours, 15 minutes.
