We repeated this excursion that we already did in 2014 for one reason, which was to see the Blue Fire that we couldn't see before because we didn't go early. On this occasion we also took the opportunity to see the sunrise from a point to the East of the Crater.
We woke up at 2:00 am to go to the parking lot where the route begins and after having an Indonesian coffee, we began the climb up the path to the crater. This trail is almost a track and although it is somewhat steep in some sections it is easy to do. Upon reaching the edge of the crater begins the descent to the lake at the bottom of the crater. The descent is made along a path that is somewhat steep and narrow in sections, so you have to go more slowly. You will probably find a lot of people going up and down the crater and my advice is to get out early and go fast to get to the bottom of the crater as the first, not only to enjoy the calmer bluefire but especially because on the way down At the crater there are people who go very, very slowly and it is uncomfortable to be stopping and overtaking so many people.
Once at the bottom, you will have to put on your mask when you approach the sulfur emanation areas and if the wind is against you you will have to put it on before.
I expected that the Blue Fire was a more extensive phenomenon but in reality it is in a small area and is relatively small in size but equally spectacular.
When the guide tells us, we begin to climb to see the sunrise from the edge of the crater, for this, once we reach the top, we turn left and walk to a point where we can see the sunrise. It is worth going to see the sunrise because the lights and colors are spectacular.
After sunrise, we return to the car and to the hotel where we have breakfast and continue to the pier to continue to Bali.

Bonitas fotos. Gracias por compartirlo
Muchas gracias Black Rocks.
Gracias.
