Very interesting circular route that combines different landscapes near Ubud. The only drawback of the route is that in order to make it circular there is no other remedy than to walk a long stretch along the edge of a road that requires great care. We start in the center of Ubud and walk west along the main street until we take a detour up Campuham which passes a lovely little temple. After the temple begins the climb that takes us to a hill with good views on both sides and that will take us cresting to the famous Karsa Cafe where we take the opportunity to have a drink and continue climbing the Campuhan crest until we reach a crossroads and we have to start our route along the edge of the road to the south, crossing a wooded area next to the road and later a section with houses that will take us to a path between rice fields. This trail is very quiet and the rice fields and the water running through the water channels allow us to imagine a more rural past. After a while we turn to the left and enter the bottom of a ravine through which we cross a hidden corner between rock walls sculpted with Hindu details. After crossing a small bridge and continuing to enjoy more reliefs in the rock, we begin a climb that will take us back to the center of Ubud.

Superb!
Thank you so much Rini Hettinga

I recommand to follow the path in the other direction, you will climb way less ! The road part of the itinerary in the middle is a bit long. I made a break at Keliki cofee, the view is amazing.
Thank you Calotta da Silva.
