Itinerary description
Beautiful hike from cottage Retreat at Rivers Edge on the South fork of the Shenandoah River. The cottage is about 1.5 miles from the trailhead but was walked both ways (quiet gravel road) and included in the milage. Trailhead parking is available but limited. This hike (halfway of this recording) ended at the connection with the Massanutten Trail on the mountain ridge with scenic view and large rocks for picnic. The Indian Grave trail is marked in purple.
