Itinerary description
Trek to the Santuary of the Seven hills of Velliangiri. The starting point is from Poondi temple, popularly known as the 'Arulmigu Velliangiri Andavar Temple' .
On the right hand side of the temple area the stairs start (there is a check point by forestry dept personnel). It is advised to go during pilgrimage time (we did in end of march).
A long climb, very panoramic on second part.
We met hundreds of pilgrims, many asking for a selfie with us. Extremely friendly atmosphere. Pls note that the Trail is opened only during pilgrimage time (from March to June).
