Apparently, there are 3 starting points of routes to reach the summit of Harishchandra gadh.
1. Walhivale ( Nalichi Wat rope access route / another as bypass via Pachanai like this
2. Pachanai. ( 3 Kms one way route, the most popular one )
3. Khireshwar ( 8 Kms one way route, intermediate )
This trail touches them all along with the summit of Harishchandra gadh mountain.

We started at Walhivale village, hiked up through fields, mountains, active waterfalls, Civil road and reached Paachnai village.
From Paachnai, we hiked the popular 3 Kms trail upto the Harishchandragadh summit.
From the summit, we hiked down towards Khireshwar and ended the hike.
You need logistics as the starting and ending points are different on this one way hike, and transportation can be nightmare.
We drove back to the starting point at Walhivale by hitchhiking from Kireshwar village to Khubi village via Pimpalgaon reservoir.
From Khubi, we managed to get transport to Moroshi (near Tokawade) via Malshed ghat and further to Walhivale village through internal roads.
Overall 37 Kms distance.
Harishchandragad is one of the best trekking spot in the Sahyadris of Maharashtra. Harishchandragad is also known as trekker’s paradise, located in the Boundaries of Pune, Thane & Ahmednagar Districts of Maharashtra state in India.
Harishchandragad has got an eye pleasing natural beauty, along with a diverse flora and fauna. Harishchandragad is famous for a lot of specialties such as its marvelous natural beauty, tough trek & none other than the beautiful Konkan Kada.
The most fascinating spot in Harishchandragad is the Konkan Kada. Taramati peak is another spot for panoramic view of the valleys. Taramati peak is the highest peak on Harishchandragad in Maharashtra.
One must visit Temple of Harishchandreshwar, Kedareshwar Cave, Ganesh Gufa, Saptatirtha, Kedareshwar, Konkan Kada, Taramati peak.
Route from Nalichi vaat is extremely thrilling. You may require 7-8 hrs to reach Konkankada from this route. This route having 2 rock patches where you will require rope support, although it's not that difficult but safety is first.
Don't try this route in monsoon season as water coming down from Konkankada is in full flow and rocks become slippery.
