Itinerary description
There are several ways to summit Ilalo. This is one of the easiest and most pleasant. The trail is easy to follow and a constant 5-8% grade. Easy on the feet. The entire hill is covered in grass (which is "mowed" by a cadre of cows wandering free on the hill.) and beautiful tall Eucalyptus trees. There is a grass road at the top that is sheltered from the wind and a perfect place to eat lunch or take a nap.
