Itinerary description
Another beatyfull day hike from Igaliku. From the cemetery (just before entering Igaliku when coming from the Kings Road) you see a sign pole saying: "Waterfalls". From here you follow the red spots, up through the saddle through the lower mountains south of Igaliku. The route is well marked (spring 2020). After about 50 minutes you reach a gravel road heading south, and you continue along the road until it crosses a stream and a sign pole pointing west, saying “Waterfalls”. From here sheep tracks (again marked with red spots) run along the river, which soon become a series of smaller and bigger waterfalls, which fall towards the Tunulliarfik Fjord. The track leads to the coast, and a nice coastal walk back towards the sheep farm at Itilleq. Just before the fence at the big yellow barn, turn right and walk around the enclosure, following the red dots up to the Kings Road, that leads back to Igaliku.
