Itinerary description
This leg starts with a climb - first up to the beautiful Fault Lake on good trails, then there will be an easy bushwhack up to the pass. This part of the trail is stunningly beautiful with gorgeous views. From the pass you hike the boulder fields down to another beautiful lake - Hunt Lake. Having passed the boulder fields after Hunt Lake the trail takes you onto dirt roads down to the paved road that goes alongside Priest Lake. I chose to pitch my tent at the Fish Pond - not a good idea as lots of adolescents come out in their trucks to party Friday and Saturday nights (or maybe every night during the summer)
