Itinerary description

On this leg the nice and well maintained trail goes up along the Young Creek to the Windy Ridge Trail. This is a really pleasant hike in the greens. I decided to hike the whole Windy Ridge Trail from the beginning (the “old” ICT - had to reroute myself a bit to find the beginning of that old trail) - which took me up to the high point with stunning views (recommendable if you’re good with some bushwhacking). After some other climbs the trail then follows some dirt roads down to the Kelly Creek and the Kelly Creek Campground.
