Itinerary description

From Wilderness Gateway (exit point for resupply - either Kooskia (Idaho) or Missoula (Montana)) - the trail ascends up the Sherman Creek Valley. You’ll have beautiful views back down towards the valley all along. Then the trail will take you along a dirt road, and if you feel like it you can take a tiny side trip on that road up to the Liz Butte (good views). The trail drops down to the Windy Creek, and the trail will follow the Windy Creek and then the Young Creek on well maintained trails.
