Itinerary description
To complete this walk you need to get access to the Lakeside Great Wall country park which costs 60rmb/person. We walked around the lake then exited the park by the west gate. You need to show your ticket and they will let you out. Keep the ticket to get back in later on. You can walk down the gorge or head straight up to the Wild Wall. We turned left when we got up to the wall but in theory you can turn right. This is according to a guide I meant that day. It certainly requires more exploration. You then follow the wild wall before dropping down in the valley below. You then head east until you arrive at a guard house. You might need to yell to get the guard's attention but as long as you show your ticket he will let you back into the park. Wechat ID timparkes36.
