Cerf Island or Ile Au Cerf
is a small tropical Seychelles island about 1.5 km long and 1 km wide near the main island of Mahe.
The north coast is part of the Marine National Park.
We were about 15 minutes on a small jet boat from the Eden Bleu Hotel on Eden Island.
The paradisiacal beach is absolutely gorgeous - after all, you are in the Seychelles! The water is sky blue, crystal clear, lukewarm ... fine white sand, coconut palms .... Well how can I say - just really paradisiac and because you can feel completely abandoned.
Various paths and hiking trails lead around the island. The snorkelers told us that there was a beautiful coral reef offshore.
A well-known anecdote says that a French sailor who discovered the Île au Cerf was on board the frigate "Le Cerf", which explains the name of the island.
There are two hotels here: Cerf Island Marine Park Resort and L'Habitation Cerf Island.
