Beautiful but demanding hike from Hrebienok that can be reached on foot from Stary Smokovec or by funicular. Be careful, the funicular is infrequent (every 30 minutes) and expensive (6 € in 2012).
Quiet ascent following the red and then green marking to the refuge of Teryho and its lakes. From there, we will follow the yellow which, at the bend of a rump, makes us discover the Pass Priecne sedlo. From there, the pass presents itself as an impassable wall and one begins to regret not having to take the visible laces of sedlo Sedielko ... Great chance to see chamois.
The climb to Pass Priecne sedlo is a kind of via ferrata, equipped with chains and ladders on a hundred meters of elevation. The path is not secure; he is equipped. Chains and ladders complete the grips for the hands and feet. This passage is not really climbing, but is no longer hiking ... To borrow only in dry weather! Note that it should be borrowed only in this sense.
The descent to the Zbojnicka refuge (yellow markup) and Hrebienok (blue markup) is long but without particular difficulty.
We went back down to Stary Smokovec (green signposting), but we can consider the expensive funicular ... or rent a scooter!

Very nice, interesting and challenging route. It is not easy, especially on chains, but worth it. Went with my husband and kids (16 and 11 years). All of us enjoyed it very much.
