Itinerary description
This trail is not hard and it's full of amazing views. Even children pass it easily. It starts from Hovq village and ends in Haghartsin village.
Best season to make it is spring or autumn.
The trail is really easy, and you never feel like you are climbing a mountain.
The most amazing part starts when you enter the forest. Make sure you are not leaving the trail as in autumn you may happen to lose it easily.
From the top you may see Haghartsin village and some gorgeous rocks.
It may be quite windy there, although it is only 1651 high.
You may meet wonderful horses on your way, some mysterious mushrooms and wandering people.
So, have a nice walk in the Armenian mountains 🦋

I walked along the trail with a group of [ArmLand Adventure Club](/), guide Ovannes Asoyan. We left at 7:30 on a rented minibus from Republic Square. The road took about two and a half hours including a half-hour stop at the food court Tsovagyukh. You could have not had breakfast at home, but have breakfast there.
From the village of Ovk to the top we walked for about three hours with frequent stops. To the mountain there is a gain of altitude of about 200 meters for 5 kilometers in open terrain. Then climb the mountain on a good trail in the forest.
Then there was an unpleasant descent for my knees, but with good views.
It seems that the trail is better to go in the opposite direction - a heavy and beautiful climb at the beginning and an easy descent at the end. It is not clear how difficult it will be to leave from Ovk.
We returned to Yerevan at 19:00 (with a stop at the same food court)
