Itinerary description

Start and finish near Marion village. All on single/ double track, 2 river crossings on stones - first crossing requires ascent of steep bank. Several quite steep climbs will get you puffing. Stunning views over valleys from tops of hills. Very scenic and peaceful location.

Did you need to get permission from the land owner or is right of way for hikers generally accepted?

Generally accepted - if you see people when hiking then it's always worth asking anyway just to be considerate. There are many "allowed" trails or roads but they are indistinguishable from potentially private ones. Provided you don't do damage/ pick fruit etc. then you should be fine. There are literally thousands of tracks to explore here.

Thanks, I just moved to the island and came across the Hope Vale area while biking around - saw the trails and tracks from the road and was wondering if they were hikeable - good to know! See you out there.

Yes definitely hikeable in there - we use that specific area regularly for dog walking. It's also a very good MTB area but probably a bit wet at the moment. I also do a lot of biking in Grenada so give me a shout if you like james@horizongrenada.com Have you been hashing yet?
