Itinerary description

08/20/2017 Longish drive to High Prairie Trailhead gets you some very nice meadows and lovely small firs and spruces (rather like walking through a Christmas tree lot), exotic landscapes and some dramatic views from Lookout Mountain. Started to extend hike along Divide Trail #458, but steep descent meant tough uphill return, so aborted. Worth the trip to Lookout Mountain at least once for the panoramic view of Hood, Jefferson, Adams, Rainier, and Tom,Dick & Harry.
