Itinerary description
The starting point is the local part of Eidfjord, Øvre, where a mountain road turns off Route 7 into the park. It first goes through the deeply incised valley of Hjolmdalen, at the end of which it rises steeply to the Hjølmo car park.
The trail is well signposted at all times. It climbs gently at first and then descends to Hella hut. After the hut there is slightly more challenging terrain, alternating rocks with muddy paths until the trail approaches the river Veil and you see Hadlaskard hut. You can camp at the hut, the hut is self-catering and you can sleep and buy food in the hut.
