Itinerary description

This track follows a part of the route used between the 13th and 18th century that connected Perugia and Cortona. At the park Castelluccio this track is a bit higher than the historical path that passes at the ruins of old Tuoro and also leads to the sadle above Tuoro. After the castel di Monte Gualdrino it leaves this route and decends to the lakefront where Hanibal has set its trap to defeat the Romans.
In december 2014 I could easily pass at the punto di malpasso, but in march the lake stands for 50 meters above the bycicle path.
