Itinerary description
Košenjak (or Huhnerkogel in German) is the highest mountain in Dravograd. From its peak there is a good view towards Kope, Peca(Petzen), Raduha,... As can be seen on the attached pictures, the hiking path goes through forest, up the mountain ridge of Goriški Vrh. Trail is suitable for light walks and for gaining physical fitness. The hike uphill usually takes 3 to 4 hours. There is also Planinski dom Košenjak mountain cabin beneath the mountain but this time we avoided it. As far as I know there are three other possible paths to take uphill Košenjak. I will probably track them in the future. I wish you a happy hiking.
