Itinerary description
Hiking - Loop through various trails within the Natural Park of Torino's Hill, including brief paved sections. Muddy after the recent snowfall - and after rainfall in general - the trails can be slippery due to clay. Best if trodden after a couple of dry days.
During the failed siege of Torino in 1706 by the French army, King Vittorio Amedeo II vowed to build the Basilica of Superga. The hilltop was lowered by 40 meters (131 ft.) to obtain a flat surface.
