Itinerary description
Hiking - Short hike to Qifeng Mountain, in the homonym park situated in the center of Dongguan (or Dongwan) in the Guangdong Province. I had taken this hike three years ago but this time I took a different route and much appreciated the company of my friend Jack.
From the park's north entrance, a couple of ups-and-downs through stairways lead to the Huangqi Mountain summit where an observation deck is built in the shape of a typical red Chinese lantern which is lit after dark. Down towards the west gate the route goes by the interesting Kwan-Yin Temple with burning incense and offerings are found before several temples with statues of the Sitting Buddha and gods of Health, Luck and Death.
