Itinerary description
To hike to Shebenik there are different trails and routes to follow. The easiest one is to start from Librazhd following the road that leads to Librazhd Katund. From Librazhd city center take the road towards fushe – student and after 6km turn following the road towards Dorez village where there is displayed the welcome sign to Shebenik National Park. The road is asphalt for the next 10km up to near Grizavesht village and then starts the dirt but good road. Follow the road and the signs driving off road into the woods up until you reach the parking place as displayed on the picture below. From here you start hiking towards the Shebenik Summit first walking on the old road of the old chrome mines for for nearly 4km. Next the path continues going up in the meadows. The path is not very clear but the hiking signs and the summit are clear enough for you not to loose the way. Once you see the glacial lakes near the top of the mountain than becomes very easy. After you reach the summit easiest way is to wind down the same way until you reach the old mines road that leads to the parking place.
