On the 6th day we did not have much planned, the destination should be the Sourly hut on Loch Nevis, a deep fjord. First, the path (Knoydart Way) was still on a dirt road, but then the path became significantly narrower and stony. Through a wild and stony valley, we went to a high valley, where the path lay two small lakes, which were connected by a stream. It was sunny and a strong warm wind blew from behind. The landscape became ever wilder and the slopes rockier. Huge boulders have slipped down from above. Few people were on the track, but we were watched by the mountains of deer.
Then the path went down steeply and we could see the fjord in the distance. Over a wooden bridge we followed the marshy path to the Sourly hut. Here some people came together until the evening. We decided to stay in the tent again. Before we went out again to the mussel banks, which were almost dry at low tide. We got a bag full of mussels, as a first course to the everyday eating. We talked to some interesting people and used up our remaining supplies of schnapps. After a fantastic sunset we went to the tents. The day was relaxed, we restored our strength.
