Itinerary description
Route: Sai Wan Pavilion > Sai Wan Beach > Ham Tin Beach > Tai Wan Beach > Ham Tin Beach again and take a speed boat back to Saikun.
To go to the starting point first take the MTR to Hang Hau metro station (Tseung Kwan O Line).
Then, in the bus station take the minibus 101M to Sai Kung Town Centre (approx half an hour).
When you arrive to the city centre you can either take a green cab to Saiwan Pavilion (around 100 HKD) or take the village bus NR29 which is not as frequent during the weekdays, in front of McDonald’s on Chan Man Street.
You start the hiking once you get to Sai Wan Pavilion, just follow the signs to Sai Wan, the first of the four beaches (in Sai Wan beach you can take a speed boat to go back to Saikun village).
Follow the signs to go to the second beach, Ham Tin Beach (where you can take a speed boat too to go back).
I recommend the third beach Tai Wan Beach because it's access it's a bit more difficult so it's used to be a more lonely place with crystal water.
For going back to Saikun town I went back from Tai Wan Beach to Ham Tin Beach and I took a speed boat that takes above 30 minutes.
Actually the hike I did was above 9 km by foot. The rest it's due to the speed boat to Saikun town.
You can find everything about this hiking it in the following website, highly recommended to have a look: https://droneandslr.com/travel-blog/hong-kong/tai-long-wan-sai-kung/
