From the very interesting town of Girokastro we took a taxi to Lazerat, the former center of hashish cultivation in Europe and the seat of the mafia.
From here it was about 1000 m only mountain. The last chain in front of the sea. Pretty wild, lonely and beautiful hike. There were only herds on the other side of the mountain - luckily. Then just below the pass a kind of park landscape with individual trees and meadows in between. The last meters we also made, the sea, Sarande and Corfu came into view. That was a great moment we were looking forward to from the beginning of the tour.
Upstairs we ate, or rather wanted to eat, the daily thunderstorm diluted us with the moderate dry food infused with hot water. Well. Then it just went downhill, we met a herd, the dogs attacked as usual, we called the shepherds as always, they came and drove away the mutt. Was as always. We ran for a while with the shepherds and then set up camp at a very nice campsite.
The weather had calmed down, we had a beautiful sunset, barks barked far away. After dinner (dry food infused with hot water) and the rest of our schnapps we lay down in our tents and thought of the encounters along the way, the dangers we had and nothing at all. A very pleasant night followed.
