After the two days in Tirana and the ride on the taxi to the south, the tour started. We hiked along the river Vjosa, a virtually straightened mountain river that flows from Greece to the south and flows into the sea near the town of Vlores.
Hardly 2 hours on the way we met the first goat herd, were barked by the herding dogs and surrounded. But then the shepherd came running and chased away the critters. We could then continue without problems.
Along the river it got hotter, although we were very early in the year (early May) on the way. We simply did not feel like running around in the heat and went back to the street from where we found a ride to Queserat. There we stayed in a private house.
