Hiking from the Skaftafell campsite to the peaks of Kristínartindar

The hike starts and ends at the Skaftafell campsite. During the first half, you have an amazing view of the glacier. The last part up to the peak is somewhat "airy" and the rocks are a bit loose. But the view makes it all worth it.
The way down leads through wide green fields with a nice view on the "sandur".

Vistas espectaculares.

My son and I hike this trail, June 28th 2018. It took us 5 hours to get to the top and 4 hours back, we did the loop counterclockwise. It was spectacular to say the least.
