Itinerary description
Nice little hike in the south of Stockholm with beautiful views to the archipelago and the possibility to swim in the Baltic Sea. Trail head and end easily reachable by public transport.
Take SL traffic to bus stop Morarna (Haninge kn). Follow a gravel road to the shoreline. The trail bends to the left passing a little bridge. Then follow the marked trail through the pine forests above the coastline. There are a few picknick benches and cliffs along the path that offer amazing views to the archipelago and possibilities for swimming in the Baltic Sea. At the northeastern tip of Havtornsudd the path turns around and leads to Gålö Havsbad. From there it is only a few minutes to the bus stop Skälåker to return to Stockholm. Alternatively, follow the Stora Gålöslingan back to Morarna (this extends the route to ~12km in total).
