Itinerary description
Like almost all hikes in Ala Archa valley, this one also starts at the parking lot of the "Alplager" (2170 m). However, apart from enjoying hiking down in the valley, this route differs in that it offers the possibility to climb a small and easy peak (3393 m) right in front of the paramount Ala Archa peak. Once you reach the top you may enjoy a great view of the nearby Golubina glacier as well as all the way down the Ala Archa valley. The peak also offers a journey back in time to the era of the Soviet Union: There is equipment of an old weather station up there!
The track is technically easy. Just make sure to always be on the correct side of the Ala Archa river. The route indicated here is the easiest and most comfortable one. To cross the second bridge (42.51388, 74.48071) you have to be a bit brave though.
You can do the hike in one day. Or you do it in two (or one and half) and enjoy the nice campsite (3050 m) indicated as waypoint for an overnight stay.

Nice and easy hike in the Ala Archa valley. Doable in one day. Camping there for one night is worth it.

Nice hike with beautiful views.
We did it in one day, 7h go and return.
It is a bit demanding as to get to the top of the Mountain View, it’s a total of 1350m D and 23km for the go return.
