Itinerary description
Warning: this hike has no trail for most of the second part. I was trying to follow a trail recorded by vanhala but there was no trail.
The first half of the trail is a shepherd trail that leads to a farm (and others if you keep following it). However, afterwards, there is no trail and you have to find your way to the top. Be careful with the shepherd dogs as they can be super agressive.
I would not recommend this hike unless you have experience and really want to climb this mountain. It's nice at the top as it gives you a view of the valley to the east and you can see the Ionian sea to the west. It's very steep at the end and finding a path is not easy. A lot of the vegetation is thorny so my legs suffered a lot! Haha
Either way, at around km 4.84, I ran into the first farm and the owner was such a delight. In spite of the language barrier, he invited me for some raki and some homemade cheese. Even if you don't do this hike all the way up, I recommend you visit him. He will warm your heart!
