Itinerary description
A nice hike up the side of the mountain.
In Moka people will say that a guide is required, but the trail is clearly marked and and easily followed. We walked up in the wet season, so much of the time was spent walking in a cloud. The trail is slippery and the only real danger is falling, if you have a hiking stick bring it, and walk slowly.
We did see two black snakes on the way up, lots of birds, a few traps. We didn't descend to the lake though other accounts say it is possible.

Walk from the main road up through a small neighborhood about 3 small blocks to find the trail head. It quickly turns from housing to sugarcane farm field.

A lake somewhere down there
The clouds were too thick to see anything down there, but supposedly there is a lake.
