Itinerary description
Kohoj fort is situated in Manor region of Mahrashtra and visible from Mumbai Ahmedabad highway.
The trail to Kohoj starts from village Waghote/Vaghote near Manor. Cars can be parked there. A steady walk of 20 minutes leads you to a beautiful lake at the base. Trail starts ascending after crossing the lake.
Near the end of the trail, there's a huge plateau with a temple, some ancient idols and some water tanks. The plateau also has a pond which is usually filled during monsoon. A further climb crossing a few rock cut water tanks, temples and fort walls leads to the top of the fort which has two pinnacles and 360 view of the surroundings.
This is a return trail recorded from top of Kohoj till base village Vaghote.
