Itinerary description
Beautiful views of Lacs d'Aubert and d'Aumar. We decided to hike up a peak after reaching Hourquette d'Aubert. We were after Pic Madaméte but got confused with the map of the trails and ended up elsewhere. We climbed the pic west of Pic dets Coubous but still provided a great view of the lakes on the south and the valley to the north.
Just a note of caution on the way down. We didn't find any clear trail markers obviously. There were some that looks like were really old so we sort of followed them down some rocks and up over the ridge. The way down was a bit of a climb down and some scrambling over rocks but it's safe if careful.
