Itinerary description
A nice hike just outside Monrovia but still in a populated area.
For the first and last part of the trail, the track follows what remains of a rail road track between an iron ore mine in Tubmanburg and the port in Monrovia. The mine was destroyed during the First Liberian Civil War and the train track has fallen in decay. At the start of the track, you'll see a part of the actual track, but the rest of the track you can only recognize that the track is very strait and level, compared to the environment.
For the majority of the track, you'll need to keep an eye on the GPS as it's circles around the houses and doesn't follow the main track for most of the time. You can of course deviate as much as you like.
