Itinerary description
SEE MY VIDEO SERIES ON LOCATING THIS TUNNEL PORTAL AT YOUTUBE/JELBUILDER.
This is my route that will take you to a piece of forgotten and hidden Brisbane history. I believe it's the fastest and safest way (at the time of doing this in March 2023) to get to this tunnel.
Park at Highwood Rd and find your way to the start point at the fire trail called South Boundary Rd. You may see my Jelbuilder Rock Cairn to indicate where the descent begins or yellow tape upon some trees.
Follow the GPX downward. My trail follows the least amount of bushbashing required and will take you to where the northern portal is located. The tunnel is very hidden until you actually come basically to the topside of it.
Enjoy the bit of Brisbane pipeline history here for what it is. I highly recommend NOT to climb through this tunnel as it has numerous collapsed sections through it, and is filled with bats, moths, cave spiders, lizards (at least from my observations).

Did this track today. Watched your series of videos trying to find it. Almost had a couple of full face spider encounters as well🤣🤣 I was doing a Sth Boundary road hike to Gold Creek resovoir, from Enoggera, so did the side trip.
There was no yellow ribbons, but found your cairn. I found the blaze cut near the road, near your cairn , has created a natural watercourse which actually leads straight to tunnel entrance. Easy to follow up and back. Awesome piece of history!!! Cheers for your hard work finding!!
Fantastic.... thanks for letting me know!
